Building on two recent articles („Posthumanist Cultural Studies“ and „(Re-)Assembling Cultural Studies“), Florian Cord will explore conceptions of distributed agency in the discourses of the nonhuman turn. In this context, the talk will reconceptualise agency, responsibility and complicity.

Florian Cord is assistant professor in British Cultural Studies at TU Dresden. His current research focuses on Cultural Studies, Posthumanism and the Anthropocene. He is the author of the book J.G. Ballard’s Politics: Late Capitalism, Power, and the Pataphysics of Resistance (de Gruyter, 2017) and general editor of Coils of the Serpent: Journal for the Study of Contemporary Power.
